Cochrane’s work is internationally recognized as the benchmark for high-quality information about the effectiveness of health care. The mission of the Colorado Cochrane Affiliate is to promote evidence-informed health decision-making by producing and advocating for the use of high-quality, relevant, accessible systematic reviews and other synthesized research evidence in the Rocky Mountain region of the US.

The Cochrane Colorado Affiliate is directed by Robert Dellavalle MD, PhD, with co-deputy directors Patricia Heyn, PhD, and Ben Harnke, MLIS. The Affiliate consists of approximately 25 members including two Joint Coordinating Editors of Cochrane Review Groups (Robert Dellavalle, MD, PhD, Cochrane Skin Joint Coordinating Editor and Tianjing Li, PhD, Cochrane Eyes and Vision Joint Coordinating Editor). Hosted events of the Colorado Cochrane Affiliate include a monthly seminar series on evidence-based practice with the University of Colorado Strauss Health Sciences Library.

Robert P. Dellavalle MD, PhD, MSPH, is the Director of the US Cochrane Universtiy of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Affilate. He is a Professor of Dermatology and Public Health at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the Colorado School of Public Health. He also serves as the Chief of the Dermatology Service at the US Department of Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Health Care System and as a Joint Co-ordinating Editor of Cochrane Skin.

Dr. Patricia C. Heyn, PhD, FGSA, FACRM has been involved in health disparity, rehabilitation and gerontological sciences research for over 20 years. She is a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM). She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at University of Colorado School of Medicine and the Deputy Director of the US Cochrane Colorado Affiliate Center.

Ben Harnke, MLIS, is a Research Informationist at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Strauss Health Sciences Library. He conducts systematic reviews, coordinates between Strauss Library and other entities on campus conducting systematic reviews and works on other evidence synthesis projects.
